Adam Rhodes |  | Governor | I am an alumnus of the College and a Chartered Certified Accountant with significant experience in financial reporting and planning as well as external audits.
I am also an ambassador for the National Apprenticeship Service and fully understand the importance of a high quality education that will set the foundations for learning new skills and further training.

Lina-Tsui-Cheung |  | Governor | I am a Criminal Consultant Solicitor with over 17 years of post-qualifying experience. I am a Duty Solicitor at both the Magistrates Court and the Police Station. Having represented a lot of young people in the Youth Court over many years, I recognise how important a good education can be for them. I am passionate about the opportunity to have a positive input in the Further Education system as I believe it is the key to building and inspiring a good career path for young people. |
Gareth Turner |  | Governor | A Chartered Management Account, I am currently Head of Fares and Ticketing at Transport for Greater Manchester. In this role I have responsibility for the development of products and pricing solutions that put customers at the heart of ticketing and payment. I am passionate about supporting and promoting an accessible and inclusive education system that provides opportunities for all young people to succeed. |
Alex Langley |  | Governor | I have more than fifteen years’ teaching experience, currently in Maths. Prior to this I have worked in dentistry and higher education and training in the UK and the Middle East. During my career I have gained experience of leadership and management in a variety of contexts and roles. I believe that young people need the best provision, advice and support, particularly in the post-16 sector, if they are to make good decisions about their futures.

Elizabeth Atkinson |  | Governor | I have just over 4 years’ experience working within the Sixth Form sector. I began my career as a Geography teacher before finding that my interests lay more within the pastoral side of education. I currently teach the A-Level Mindset during tutorial sessions.
Alongside this I am also a House Monitor. I believe young people should have the best experience and education during their short time with us and have the opportunity to flourish and progress to their chosen careers. |
Glad Capewell |  | Governor (Corporation only) | I worked in scientific research in the chemical industry and geophysics, before moving into education, where I taught mainly physics and mathematics. I have taught in grammar and comprehensive schools, a general further education college, and latterly in a sixth form college where I became a senior leader. Prior to retirement, I was one of Her Majesty's Inspectors, inspecting mainly in post-16 education and in local authority children’s and young people's services. I also hold governorships in a primary school and a further education college. |

My work, as a Medical Writer entails interpreting large amounts of data. I am keen to ensure that students with additional educational needs realise their full potential. |

(Marple) | I am in my second year at Marple where I am studying A level History and BTEC Applied Science. I have been involved with a political charity for several years. This has given me the opportunity to work with a wide range of interesting people, including Andy Burnham.
I have an interest in helping people and changing things for the better. I believe that being a Student Governor is the best way for me to have a say in what is going on around me and to help other students to do so. |
